The quality of light is absolutely wonderful, but remember it's really a task light. I use it for doing jigsaw puzzles, sewing, craft projects and sometimes reading. It's light and easy to move around and to angle exactly where you want it. I've had this for years and use it constantly, this recent purchase was a gift, and they love it. No more tired, straining eyes. And if cloudy days bug you, sit down and do a project under it's light. Enjoy!
